Turtles out of the box

When creating my square, I wanted to celebrate digital making. I spent an enjoyable afternoon creating digital art. This involved programming in python using instructions from the Raspberry Pi foundation website. My ‘art work’ contains 5000 turtles that are randomly generated – it is an original work of art! I printed the turtles onto a cotton cot sheet, with the help of freezer paper.

We live in a world that is increasingly dominated by technology. The need to gain digital skills has become essential, rather than being an optional extra. Digital making invites everyone, to learn out of the box.
